Terms of service

These are the terms between you (the business) and Alfie Dodridge, trading as Spruced. They are short on purpose.

What you get

For £39 a month we host your website on your own web address, keep its security certificate current, keep backups, and make reasonable small changes you ask for by email (text, prices, opening hours, photos, adding or removing a section). Larger projects, such as online shops, booking systems or new multi-page sections, are quoted separately first.

Payment and cancelling

Payment is monthly in advance by card or direct debit through Stripe. There is no minimum term. Email us to cancel at any time; the site stays up until the end of the month you’ve paid for. We don’t refund part-months.

Your stuff

Your domain name, your logo and the words and photos you supply remain yours. When you leave, we’ll send you the site’s files on request so you can host it elsewhere. You confirm you have the right to use anything you send us to publish.

Our responsibilities

We aim to keep your site online at all times, but we rely on third-party hosting and can’t promise it will never be unavailable. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you’ve paid in the previous three months. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Changes and law

We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email of any change to these terms or the price. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
